DISCLAIMER:
This is a CLOSED species as of now, and can only be obtained through me, DDizawesomes via adopt, custom, or otherwise. You are not allowed to create one without my permission. ( I plan on doing MYO events, raffles, etc,  so as everyone gets a chance to have one of their own if they're really interested. <3)

Okay, yeah, the Miikens. Jumping on the bandwagon, I'm going to be doing adopts and customs of these bebes. <3

They're hella kawaii jfc guys. I'm honestly quite proud. Hand spaz plz

ANYWAY MIIKENS, here's all of their more detailed and legible information. (sry I have bad handwriting x__x)

What are Miikens?
Miikens are adorable and shy little animals that are very gluttonous and obsessive over the things they hoard like pack-rats. Miikens don't have a very advanced language, but are actually very intelligent creatures. They are roughly in the size range between cats and small dogs, their ear-hands making them look a bit bigger. They are also a rather diverse species as you will learn as you read further.

Individuality and Identity
Having a more primitive language, how do Miikens identify themselves and others of their species? Actually, it's the objects they hoard and keep with them at all times that identifies a single Miiken. An individual, while naught but a mere kit within the first few months of it's life, will instinctively be on the prowl for something that resembles themselves. ( a bit of early soul searching) Something that speaks to them you know? Most of the time the object is similar or goes well with their pelt colors (which can vary greatly). Upon finding said object, it becomes their identity. So if another were to inquire it's identity, the individual would point out that item. But do note, that the item can be very color/material specific.
For example: If a Miikken Identifies to a green leaf, they are "Green Leaf", and if one collected silver spoons "Silver spoon", but that does not mean their might be a Miiken that just identifies to spoons in general and be called "Spoon". There can be many that identify to the same object, but more often the not, there's a slight difference in taste.
But these identifying objects can be just about anything under the sun that a Miiken can manage to carry, and they can carry more than just one of their object around with them by tying them into their fur, wearing them, etc.

Thus, why collect so much of the same thing?
Because, Miikens by nature are hoarders, and the bigger the hoard, the prouder the Miiken. If it is the object they identify to, they will take it without hesitation, which can make these creatures quite the little troublesome thieves. Also, it makes sure they have a stock in case they lose one they're holding. Without their identifying object, a Miiken will have a bit of an identity crisis and panic. Thus it's best to play it safe and have hundreds of backups.

Behavior and Culture
Miikens are also quite the shy species as said before. They don't enjoy making eye contact with those of other species. It's also part of their mere culture to only make eye contact with those of their own species and those they come to see as close. That's really the only formality they have going for them, spare upon greeting another of their species, they typically shake hands as humans do. Though, with their diversity and intelligence, Miikens are capable of taking up customs of humans and other species, for they are quick learners. So one shouldn't be surprised if a Miiken knew how to open a door and operate some human devices. Generally docile, Miikens can become hostile if they feel their hoard or themselves is threatened. Lastly, Miikens tend to stick in small, we'll call them little packs for now. Non-domesticated Miikens will generally stick to a group of 2-5. They can be family or unrelated.

Habitat
Miikens are particularly adaptable and can live basically anywhere, although most commonly they take residence around and among civilization. Though, it would be rare to see a Miiken in a barren desert or places of extreme cold. They enjoy areas brimming with whatever it is that they identify too. The extreme variety in habitat explains the multitude of possible Miiken appearances and colors. But that being said, most live in or around civilization.

Domestication?
Yes, Miikens can be kept as pets, although it might be a bit of a troublesome pet to handle. xD

Why the giant ear-hands?
Because they're awesome! duh. xD
The ear-hands are an adaption to collecting. They use their ear-hands to reach higher places, climb, jump higher, do things that humans do with their hands, because thumbs. They carry things, give handshakes, they're also great for hugs. On a less adorable note, they use these hands to defend themselves. Try to steal something, or prevent a Miiken from stealing something, it wouldn't be surprising if they picked up something and started bashing you with it, because those ear-hands are the strongest muscles in their bodies. Seriously, with enough effort an adult Miiken can lift things about 10 times it's own weight with those things. They're like overgrown ants. Miikens are no joke.

So what do they eat?
Miikens are omnivorous and can eat just about anything. Ones that live around humans sometimes even learn how to cook for themselves. Pretty smart.

I believe that is about it on the Miikens for now... yeah. I hope you guys like them ;w;  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask! :D

I will be doing a couple freebies to kick things off, so keep your eyes peeled QuQ
